The Haunted Palace (2025)

Yeo Ri wakes up at the palace. She finds out that Kang Cheol wasn’t the one who attacked Yun Gap. However, she’s still suspicious about Kang Cheol since he possessed Yun Gap’s body. She looks for Yun Gap’s spirit, but she runs into something else instead. Meanwhile, Kang Cheol who is in Yun Gap’s body is fascinated by the human senses. It feels awkward, but he starts to enjoy being human.

Yeo Ri tries to find Yun Gap, thinking his soul is trapped somewhere in the palace. Kang Cheol tells her that Yun Gap is already taken by the Eight-feet spirit, but Yeo Ri can’t give up on him. She decides to lure the Eight-feet spirit by becoming the bait to save Yun Gap. When she was about to trap the Eight-feet spirit, the king and his men appeared.

The king is possessed by the Eight-feet Spirit, but Yeo Ri and Kang Cheol manage to get rid of it. Kang Cheol wants to leave the capital to stay away from the Eight-feet Spirit, but Yeo Ri asks him to help her get rid of the spirit and save Yun Gap. However, the king banishes the two from the capital for breaking the law, which is doing a ritual in the capital. Meanwhile, the Eight-feet Spirit finds another target.

Cheol asks Monk Ga Seop if he could perform gubyeongsisik and drive the Eight-Feet Spirit out of the world. The monk tells him that they need to deplete the energy of the glowing pearl within his body to settle the resentment of the evil spirit. After Prince Yeong In’s passing, Cheol finds out someone in the Palace is aiding the Eight-Feet Spirit.

Pung San is pleased to find out that the Queen is pregnant with the King’s child, giving the General of Heaven and Earth another child to feed on. Cheol learns from Bi Bi that he needs to kill the body of Gap to get out of his body. Meanwhile, Yeo Ri finds a skull with a talisman hidden in the Queen’s pillow that causes the Queen to have nightmares.

The water spirit attacks Yeo Ri with a deadly spell. She slowly shows the same symptoms as the Queen, who is bedridden due to an unknown illness. Kang Cheol suggests that the King become bait to catch the water spirit, as it wants the royal blood. Yeo Ri hears the news and rushes to the river where Kang Cheol and the King are waiting for the water spirit to emerge.

Yeo Ri and Kang Cheol grant the water spirit’s wish and bring his remains to his daughter. In return, the water spirit confesses that Aguji was behind the attacks on the Queen. The King locks up all the blind shamans from the Bureau of the Blind and interrogates them to find who Aguji is. Meanwhile, Yeo Ri finds out that the Eight-feet Spirit killed her grandmother.

The hidden truth from 13 years ago is finally revealed. Although Yeo Ri no longer has a reason to hate Kang Cheol, she still cannot forgive herself for being drawn to him.

Yeo Ri and Kang Cheol finally confirm their feelings for each other. While the King discovers a clue that could reveal the identity of the Eight Foot Tall Ghost, Yeo Ri comes face-to-face with Pung San in the palace.

Kang Cheol is deeply unsettled by the secret behind the Eight Foot Tall Ghost’s origin. Meanwhile, Bibi who can no longer receive Kang Cheol’s help because of Yeo Ri feels her resentment growing. Just then, a mysterious figure approaches her.

Everyone is struck with horror as the truth hidden within the Gwangammunjip (The Records of Gwangam) finally comes to light, and the true identity of the Eight Foot Tall Ghost is at last revealed. As Kang Cheol and Yeo Ri’s feelings for one another grow deeper, a mysterious figure begins to lurk around them.

Yeo Ri searches desperately for the missing Kang Cheol, while Yoon Gap suffers over his unrequited feelings for her. Meanwhile, Pung San plans to use Yoon Gap in a plot to harm the King.

The iron-willed King has fallen, leaving both Kang Cheol and Yeo Ri consumed by grief. However, the attacks from the Eight Foot Tall Ghost are only just beginning. Sensing the end is near, Kang Cheol and Yeo Ri hide their sorrow and anxiety to share one last poignant moment together.

As the Eight Foot Tall Ghost takes control of the palace, Kang Cheol and Yeo Ri make one final choice to protect each other. Where is the place the Imugi finally flew to?
